Clear answers to common questions about SimpleLabs, our process, CLIA-certified lab partners, results, pricing, and state availability.
Most results are available within 3–10 business days after your blood draw, depending on the specific biomarkers included in your panel. Quest Diagnostics processes the samples, and results are delivered securely through our clinical partner, Rupa Health.
You'll receive an email notification from Rupa Health as soon as your results are ready. In some cases, specialized tests may require additional processing time, and we'll keep you informed of any delays.
Most Quest Diagnostics patient service centers accept walk-ins. However, some locations may require appointments, especially in high-traffic areas. We recommend checking your chosen location's policy online at questdiagnostics.com or calling ahead to confirm.
Pro tip: Walk-in wait times are typically shortest early in the morning (7–8 AM) on weekdays.
Lab requisitions are typically valid for 90 days from the date of issue. If your requisition expires before you complete your draw, contact us and we can generate a new one.
Since you schedule your own blood draw at a walk-in location, there's nothing to reschedule with us. Simply visit the draw site whenever it's convenient for you within the 90-day requisition validity period.
Cancellation policy: If you haven't completed your blood draw and need to cancel your order, please contact us at support@simplelabs.603health.com. Per our Terms of Service, all sales are final once the lab requisition has been issued and activated. Refund eligibility is determined on a case-by-case basis before the requisition is used.
SimpleLabs operates on a self-pay basis only. We do not bill insurance companies, file insurance claims, or accept insurance as direct payment.
However, you may submit your itemized receipt to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Reimbursement rates vary significantly by insurance plan, and we cannot guarantee any level of coverage or reimbursement.
Why self-pay? This model allows us to provide transparent, upfront pricing with no surprise bills, network restrictions, or insurance pre-authorization delays.
No. We believe in complete pricing transparency. The service coordination fee you see at checkout includes everything you need:
There are no subscription fees, membership fees, renewal charges, or surprise billing. The price you see is the complete price you pay.
Note: Extended wellness coaching consultations beyond basic support may be available for an additional fee. Contact us for details.
We accept all major credit and debit cards including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover. All payments are processed securely through Stripe, our PCI-compliant payment processor.
We do not store your complete payment card information on our servers. All card data is tokenized and encrypted by Stripe.
In most cases, yes. Laboratory testing typically qualifies as an eligible medical expense for Health Savings Accounts (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA). You can use your HSA/FSA debit card at checkout or pay with a personal card and submit for reimbursement.
Receipt & Documentation: After your purchase, you will receive a payment receipt from Stripe showing the transaction details. Many HSA/FSA administrators accept this receipt for reimbursement.
If your administrator requires additional documentation (such as a detailed service breakdown or practitioner authorization), simply contact us at support@simplelabs.603health.com with your order details, and we'll provide the necessary documentation within 2-3 business days.
Important: HSA and FSA eligibility rules vary by plan administrator. We recommend verifying with your specific HSA/FSA administrator before purchase to confirm that elective lab testing qualifies under your plan's guidelines.
Your purchase is a service coordination fee that includes:
This service coordination model ensures proper clinical oversight while providing transparent, upfront pricing for comprehensive lab testing services.
Fasting requirements depend on your specific panel. Most comprehensive panels require an 8–12 hour fast for accurate glucose, insulin, and lipid measurements. You'll receive detailed preparation instructions with your lab requisition from Rupa Health.
During your fast:
Always follow the specific instructions provided with your requisition, as some tests have unique requirements.
Avoid intense exercise for 24 hours before your blood draw. Vigorous workouts temporarily elevate inflammation markers, creatine kinase, and certain hormones, which can affect your results.
Light activity like walking or gentle stretching is fine.
For the most accurate results, we generally recommend holding non-essential supplements for 24–48 hours before your blood draw. High-dose vitamins and minerals can temporarily elevate blood levels and may not reflect your body's true baseline status.
Important guidelines:
When in doubt, consult with your healthcare provider about which supplements, if any, should be paused before testing.
You'll receive an email notification from Rupa Health when your results are ready, typically 3–10 business days after your blood draw (timing varies by panel). Results are delivered securely through Rupa Health's HIPAA-compliant patient portal.
The email will include instructions for accessing your results and creating your Rupa Health account if you don't already have one.

Testing for minors (under 18): Laboratory testing for individuals under 18 years of age requires parental or legal guardian involvement and consent. Additional restrictions may apply depending on your state's laws regarding consent for medical services for minors.

This policy protects individual privacy rights and ensures proper informed consent for all testing services.
Lab access and service availability are based on state regulations at the time of sample collection. If you move to a different state or travel after ordering but before your blood draw, availability and requirements may vary by location.
Quest Diagnostics has patient service centers nationwide, so you can typically complete your blood draw in most states. However, some states have specific regulations regarding direct-access laboratory testing that may affect service availability.
If you've moved or will be traveling when you plan to complete your blood draw, please contact us to verify service availability in your new location before visiting a draw site.
