LabCoach is an educational chatbot designed to help you understand laboratory biomarkers and test panels offered by SimpleLabs by 603 Health. Our purpose is to provide general educational information about what biomarkers measure, why they matter, and common factors that influence results.

What LabCoach Can Do:

• Describe why certain tests are included in panels
• List common factors that can influence test results
• Provide general preparation notes for testing
• Explain when retesting is commonly recommended

What LabCoach Cannot Do:

• Diagnose medical conditions or diseases
• Interpret your individual test results or values
• Provide medical advice, treatment, or prescribe medications
• Replace consultation with a licensed healthcare provider
• Make recommendations about starting or stopping medications
• Determine if your results are "good" or "bad"

Your Privacy Matters

We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about how conversations with LabCoach are handled.

SimpleLabs (603 Health) Storage:

• We do NOT store your conversations on our servers
• No database, no logs, no permanent records
• Your conversation exists only in your browser's temporary session storage
• Session data expires after 30 minutes of inactivity
• Clearing your browser cache removes all conversation history

OpenAI API Data Retention:

• LabCoach is powered by OpenAI's GPT-4 artificial intelligence model
• Messages are temporarily retained by OpenAI for 30 days for abuse and misuse monitoring
• After 30 days, conversations are automatically and permanently deleted
• Your data is NOT used to train or improve OpenAI's models
• OpenAI's data retention complies with industry security standards

Protecting Your Privacy:

• Do not share specific test results or values (e.g., "My glucose is 120 mg/dL")
• Avoid sharing personal identifiers (name, date of birth, medical record numbers)
• Do not include dates of tests or appointments
• Ask general questions about biomarkers instead of personal interpretations

Example of Good Question: "What does glucose measure and why does it matter?"

Avoid Questions Like: "My glucose is 145 mg/dL on 12/1/2024, is this bad?"
